HEAVY EQUIPMENT LUBE TECHNICIAN
Perform preventative maintenance services on equipment at various jobsites; which includes checking/changing fluids, change filters, pull fluid samples, greasing, and inspections.
responsibilites
•Repair of equipment or components, following established procedures and guidelines
•Responsible for the operation and maintenance of the field lubrication/service trucks
•Complies with state and federal record keeping requirements
•Perform repairs under direct departmental supervision
•Possess tooling required by the service department
•Maintain good attendance and punctuality
•Demonstrate safe and proper application of hand, pneumatic and electric tools
•Assist qualified technicians in repair tasks such as removal, installation and repair of components/machines
•Follow directions as given; follow company policies and procedures
•Other duties as assigned by manager, supervisor or lead person
•Work alternate shifts as required by workload or customer needs and may be assigned to provide services outside of normal working hours during the week or on the weekend when unexpected needs surface
•Operate equipment, cranes and vehicles within design limitations and perform daily maintenance as required
REquirements
•Class B or A California drivers license with HAZMAT endorsement is required
•Understanding/experience on Kenworth Diesel Equipment, Peterbilt Diesel Equipment and CAT Heavy Equipment
•Knowledge of proper use of required tools and equipment of the job
•Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
•Ability to write routine reports
•Ability to lift 50 lbs
